Hamish Anderson Telegraph Magazine 26/05/2012
In The Telegraph Magazine 26thMay 2012, Hamish Anderson selects two of our wines forsummer drinking:
2010 Côte de Brouilly ‘Cuvée Melanie’, Daniel Bouland fromBeaujolais
Beaujolais has the ability to work with the diversity ofalfresco dining, and Daniel Bouland is one of the region’s great exponents. This is simply delicious and thrillingly pure. Beneath the core of blackberries and redcurrantsruns a vein of spice and earth. It isyoung, so I’d advise decanting.
2010 Chablis 1er Cru Mont-de-Milieu, Domaine Pinson from Burgundy
Pinson is a favourite address in Chablis as it strikes abalance between modern and old. Orchardfruit and spice vie for your attention before lip-smacking acidity tells youthis is truly Chablis. You could happilycellar this for five years and it will accompany the finesy roast chickenthroughout.
